My name is Gabriel – born, brought up and residing in Singapore. Professionally, I have been working in the private education sector for 18 years with core focus on student recruitments and general management. I have been married for 15 years and father to three very active boys.
This blog contains my thoughts on Christianity, society and generic interests.
On Christianity – since the age of probably 5 or 6 years old, I have consciously and pro-actively sought the meaning and purpose of my existence. This has led me to seek out my Maker and that journey did not take too long for me to decide on the Christianity path, one which I now know has been the grace of God. The Bible say: “This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins”. (1 John 4:10) and “You did not choose me, but I chose you…” (John 15:16). I have deep interest in the Holy Bible and I will blog as many lessons as possible that the Spirit of God will be teaching me.
On Society – As a teenager, I often felt and commented that just because society in general accept something as norm, it did not mean that it is necessarily correct and true. We need to think, investigate and question. I am interested in how our world is being run and I will research and blog about a wide range of societal topics.
On general interests – I am definitely a generalist. It is difficult to get me to be interested in just a narrow range of interests and my short attention span on any one topic at a time can be scary. I have a wide curiosity of the world around and just about every section in a book store would hold my interests. So I will blog on some less serious stuffs just to chill-out from time to time.
